Helping young people connect with heritage

We’re delighted to be supporting two projects that help young people in Peterborough connect with heritage and enjoy the natural environment.

Our Grant to the Home Education Haven Explorers is helping fund equipment to children with additional needs to explore the wildlife at the Wildlife Haven at Railworld.

We are also supporting The Prince’s Trust with seed funding to establish a new element to their annual programme for youngsters in Peterborough. For the first time, young people on the programme will learn about the local heritage on the doorstep with visits to Peterborough Cathedral, the Hills and Holes, and Flag Fen. Our funding is helping to trial and embed this new element and it is hoped that this will become a regular fixture as part of the programme each year.

If you’d like to apply for funding, check out our Grant Making Policy and get in touch.
